Alaska Cutting and Reining Association
Started by Nathan Horsman in the summer of 2007, the ACRA continues to grow. Currently the ACRA consists of a core group of about 10 riders here in Alaska that are devoted to performance horse events.
Nathan teaches cutting clinics in the summer, hosted by McCormick Farm in Palmer, Alaska. During these clinics Nathan teaches the riders how to start their horse on a cow, how to improve their cow working skills, and the benefits that working cows have for their horse.
During the winter months (October-May) Nathan teaches reining clinics, hosted by Saddle Up Arena in Butte, Alaska. During these clinics Nathan teaches the riders how to train their horses for maneuvers like Flying Lead Changes, Spins, Stops...by riding the 4 parts of the horse and having total control over those parts.
Every breed, every discipline, every rider can benefit from these clinics!!!
If you would like more information on the ACRA or these clinics, please contact Nathan Horsman.

Join us in competing in the IPHDA!!!
Alaska has it's own region in the IPHDA (International Performance Horse Development Association)!!!
The IPHDA is a great way to develop a better broke horse, winning money and prizes along the way!
Compete against riders in Germany, Australia, Canada, and all across America, without ever leaving Alaska!!!
If you would like more information on the IPHDA, please contact Nathan Horsman or go to www.iphda.com
